Ustaz Ridhwan’s goal as a millennial Singaporean is to cultivate an open space for positive engagements. He believes that people should be empowered through mutual trust and respect.
Ustaz Ridhwan works closely with other asatizah in producing meaningful content online. He also regularly writes on issues related to Islamic civilisation and political philosophy, religious diversity and polarisation, Muslims in the digital age and modern Muslim lifestyle.
Professionally, Ustaz Ridhwan had spent 7 years at the Office of the Mufti, Muis (2011-2017), before forming a new team that co-founded this Muslim.SG social media platforms. Through his work with his dedicated team, the platform had grown 10 times, from less than 10k total community size to more 100k across Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok in 2021. This website is also ranked highly on Google search result.
Ustaz Ridhwan received his early educations at Madrasah Al-Irsyad and Madrasah Wak Tanjong. He pursued his tertiary education at the National University of Singapore (NUS) and graduated with honours in Political Science. He then furthered his postgraduate studies at the International Islamic University Malaysia and obtained a Masters in Islamic Political Thought. He is currently serving as a Regional Policy Manager (Violent Extremism) in a global tech company.
